Deon and

It all started as an outlet to create and has grown into a story of triumph and survival. Deon Generette is an Army Veteran, a Gamecock, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a CEO, but before anything, Deon Generette is a creator. After serving in Iraq, Deon lost his father in 2009, which took him through years of PTSD and grief counseling, leading him back to his roots. He took lessons from his parents and created 7Sunday, Thee Best Recurring Live Themed Music Show in the Carolinas and Beyond. It started as a form of therapy and a way of bringing people together, but along the way, it evolved into something more. As a pastor’s kid, Generette has always held Sundays close to his heart. Waking up to Gospel music, Deon would go to church where his mother led the music ministry, his father preached the Word, and the community would come together like one big family.
7Sunday seeks to embody that spirit of the complete and perfect Sunday, where music, fellowship, networking, small businesses, and creatives all come together in harmony. It’s about community, creativity, and connection centered around shared passions. Whether you’re looking for event planning and production or a specialty live band to play your event, 7Sunday is ready to bring visions to reality. With turnkey services, all you have to do is book 7Sunday and show up ready to make memories.
COMMUNITY. CREATIVITY. CONNECTION.

How it Started

The idea of 7Sunday derived from Deon's experiences as a youth. Growing up, the perfect Sunday started at church with his family and concluded with him listening to classic jams on the BigDM "Quiet Storm". This perfect balance of the complete and perfect Sunday laid the foundation for the brand you see today.

Deon’s military service provided him with the attention to detail that has helped made 7Sunday what it is today.

With the 7Sunday platform, Deon and his team have dedicated themselves to amplifying the voices and messages that connect us. The mission is to help empower small businesses, woman-owned businesses, and veteran-owned businesses that make our community thrive, from live events and state of the art performances to film production.

For Deon, performance and purpose go hand in hand. Beyond the stage, he founded Dapper and Distinguished Gentlemen (DDG), a nonprofit that mentors young boys and shapes them into confident, capable gentlemen. DDG reflects what 7Sunday stands for at its core: using talent and platform to build up the community that raised him.

7Sunday is far more than a band, film, and event production company. From singing in church as a boy to building DDG today, Deon's experiences give him a way of creating and connecting that no one else can replicate.
